Service Level Terms

This explains what to expect from RestroPod's SaaS service — the servers that handle your license, subscription, and account — and what happens around subscription expiry.
1. What This Covers
RestroPod's Windows POS and Android app work offline — billing, orders, and daily operations don't need the internet. The SaaS service is only needed for: activating a device, periodic license checks, processing payments, and account/dashboard access.
This document is about that SaaS service, not the offline POS itself.
2. No Uptime Guarantee
We aim to keep the SaaS service available and reliable, and we actively monitor it for failures. However, we do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage, and downtime does not entitle you to a refund or credit.
If the SaaS is briefly unreachable, your POS continues working offline as normal — see Section 3.
3. What Happens If SaaS Is Unreachable
Your POS checks in with our servers periodically to confirm your license is valid. If it can't reach us (due to your internet being down, or our service being briefly unavailable), your POS continues working normally for a period of time before requiring a fresh check.
This is separate from what happens when your subscription itself expires — that's covered in Section 4, and works differently.
4. Subscription Expiry and Grace Period
When your subscription's billing period ends:
- Grace period begins. For a set number of days (currently 5, but may change), your account moves into a grace period. You'll be notified by email that this has started, and again shortly before your subscription expires, reminding you to renew.
- If you renew during the grace period, everything continues normally.
- If the grace period ends without renewal, your subscription is marked expired, your license is deactivated, and your POS will stop processing new bills until you renew.
Your existing data is never deleted because of an expired subscription — it stays safely on your device. Renewing simply restores access.
5. Device Monitoring
If one of your registered devices doesn't check in with us for more than 7 days, it's automatically flagged for review as a precaution — this helps us catch problems like a lost or compromised device early. This does not affect your POS's normal operation.
6. Planned Maintenance and Updates
We may occasionally take the SaaS service offline briefly for maintenance or updates. Where possible, we'll try to do this at low-traffic times and notify you in advance for anything significant.
7. Governing Law
This document is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
